Born this Way - Story Assist

Bunim/Murray Productions, Van Nuys, CA                           2015

Logger and Assistant Story Editor for the EMMY WINNING, premiere season of docu-series, "Born this Way," for A&E.  The show follows seven young adults with Down syndrome as they navigate the world, overcome challenges and chase their dreams. Produced story string-outs and sound-bites on Avid as well as assisted the story team and other production staff as necessary. Named all first season episodes, as well as wrote the cast bios and episode descriptions for A&E's show site.

"Alarm"

 

A short script, produced by students at MIT. Trapped in a cave in Afghanistan, two soldiers dream about the choices they've made and the families they've left behind.

"Moving"

 

Short film script, produced by students in the Full Sail film production course. A former couple moves out of their once shared apartment, but find a mysterious box that sends them back through their relationship.

"Retirement Party"

 

A comedy sketch that appeared in "Sphinx," a full length sketch show written in collaboration with students from Harvard University and performed at the American Repertory Theater's "The Ex" theater. 

 

When an office employee is forced into retirement, one of her co-workers throws her a misguided roast.

"Tea Party"

 

Also appearing in "Sphinx."

 

An alcoholic, single father, down on his luck, receives an intervention...from his daughter's toys.
